FAQ
Frequently asked questions
01 · Enquiries and quotation
How a first message is handled, who answers it, and what can be sent before an order.
How quickly do you reply?
Enquiries are answered inside our working day, and a first quotation usually follows once the configuration is clear — which is why the message field asks for market and volume. If you need something urgently, say so in the message and put your messaging handle in the phone field.
Who actually reads my enquiry?
The commercial team reads every enquiry. Anything about a drawing, a mould or a design change is passed to engineering, and requests for certificates or test reports go to the quality team rather than being answered second-hand from the sales side.
Can I ask for documents before I have an order?
Yes. Tell us the model and the market and we will confirm which certificates and test reports exist for that combination, and what we can send. We do not issue a document for a model that has not been tested for it.
Can I arrange a factory visit or send an inspector?
Yes. Tell us the dates you are considering and which models and processes you want to see, and we will schedule the visit around a live production run rather than a staged one. Third-party inspection companies are welcome — send the scope in advance so the line is scheduled for it.
What should I include in a first message?
Market, product type or model, expected volume and, if you have them, target certifications and packaging requirements. A drawing or packaging spec attached to the enquiry usually removes one full round of questions before a quotation can be prepared.
02 · Product and configuration
MOQ, voltage, noise, packaging and lead time — the questions that decide a configuration.
What is the MOQ for this humidifier?
MOQ depends on the configuration. Standard OEM orders start higher than private label orders, because private label is priced for sellers testing a new market. Tell us your target market and estimated first order volume and we will confirm the exact MOQ for your SKUs.
Can you build it for both 120V and 220–240V?
Yes. The same body can be assembled for 120V/60Hz and 220–240V/50Hz, with the plug type your market requires. Voltage and plug type are set per order, so one part number can serve several markets without a redesign.
How quiet is it in sleep mode?
Sleep mode is the quiet configuration, and the noise figure for the exact build is stated in the specifications table above. Noise depends on mist output and fan speed, so confirm the figure for the configuration you intend to buy rather than assuming the lowest published number applies to every mode.
Which certifications apply to my market?
Requirements differ by market and by model configuration. Tell us where you sell and we will confirm which certifications and test reports apply to your unit, and which ones we can supply documentation for. Final compliance is confirmed by the testing laboratory.
How long does production take?
Lead time is stated in the specifications table and depends on whether the order is standard OEM, private label or custom tooling. Tooling for a new mould adds time before production starts. Confirm the lead time for your configuration when you request the quotation.
Do you supply retail packaging and Amazon FBA labels?
Yes. Private label orders can include retail gift-box packaging, instruction manuals, barcode and FNSKU labelling. Custom box structure and artwork are available. Send your artwork or packaging spec with your enquiry and we will confirm what is feasible.
03 · Compliance and certification
Which standard applies, what the marks mean, and what can and cannot be certified.
Which standard covers a humidifier?
Internationally, humidifiers are covered by a dedicated standard, IEC 60335-2-98, which is used together with the general appliance standard IEC 60335-1. In the United States the corresponding UL standard is UL 998. The standard number is only the starting point — the version that applies to your market and the lab's accreditation matter as much.
What is the difference between UL Listed and UL Recognized?
UL Listed applies to a finished product that a testing laboratory has evaluated against the relevant standard; UL Recognized applies to a component. Which one your marketplace or retailer asks for depends on the listing and the category. Tell us the model and the market and we will confirm which certificates and reports apply to it.
Does an aroma diffuser need PSE in Japan?
Aroma diffusers are not simply “small appliances” in Japan — an electric aroma diffuser appears as a named item on METI's list under the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act, as do electric humidifiers and ultrasonic humidifiers. The item listing is what decides whether the regime applies to your product, so it is worth checking the list rather than assuming.
Can you provide certificates for all your models?
No, and we will not claim otherwise. We provide test reports and certificate copies for the models that hold them, for the markets they were tested for. Tell us the model and the market and we will confirm exactly which documents exist for that combination.
What does RoHS and REACH mean for a humidifier?
RoHS restricts hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment; REACH governs chemicals in the EU more broadly, including obligations that can reach the materials in a product. Both are legal texts rather than certificates, and both are linked above so you can read the scope for yourself rather than rely on a summary.
Who decides finally whether a product complies?
The testing laboratory, against the standard and the market's requirements — not the manufacturer and not the buyer. Our role is to build the unit to the tested configuration, supply the documents we hold, and tell you plainly where a requirement cannot be met by a given model.
