Shipping & Order Tracking
01 · Delivery methods
The right method depends on volume, destination and how quickly you need the goods:
- International courier — best for samples and small first orders, delivered to your door.
- Air freight — suited to mid-size orders where transit time matters more than per-kilogram cost.
- Sea freight, LCL or FCL — the economical choice for volume orders, measured in weeks rather than days.
Door-to-door delivery is available. We propose a method with each quotation and state the assumption behind it, so you can weigh cost against speed before you commit rather than after the invoice arrives.
02 · Incoterms, duties and taxes
The Incoterm is stated on the quotation and repeated on the order confirmation. Duty rates and import VAT are set by your customs authority and depend on the commodity code and declared value; they are included only when the agreed term says so. If you nominate your own forwarder, tell us at quotation stage — it changes both the price basis and the document set.
03 · Documents that travel with the goods
Depending on destination and method, a shipment is accompanied by: commercial invoice and packing list with the correct commodity description and code; certificate of origin where required; the test reports and declarations relevant to the certification the unit carries; and any retailer-specific labelling your programme requires. Unlike lithium batteries, humidifiers are not regulated dangerous goods, so no dangerous goods declaration is needed — but the electrical certification the destination requires is your route to customs clearance and to retail listing.
04 · Reading a delivery date: production versus transit
Two clocks are often confused, which is how delivery promises go wrong. We quote them separately:
- Production lead time — counted from the date the sample is approved and the order is confirmed, not from the enquiry or the quotation.
- Transit time — carriage and customs from our factory to your address, which depends on method, route, carrier space and inspection.
A total delivery estimate is production plus transit. If you need a date for planning, ask for both numbers and treat the transit portion as an estimate.
To be confirmed: the standard production lead time in working days for each programme, and typical transit ranges for your main destinations. These are quoted per order today.
05 · Order tracking
When a shipment leaves, we send the carrier name and the tracking or bill-of-lading number, together with the document set above. You should not have to ask for them.
Tracking granularity varies by method: courier shipments update several times a day, air freight shows departure and arrival, and sea freight may sit unchanged for a week between milestones. A quiet tracking page during an ocean leg is normal; a status that has not moved past its expected milestone for more than a week is worth raising with us.
If you have not received tracking details within two working days of the agreed ship date, contact us — that usually means the booking moved, and we would rather tell you than have you discover it at your warehouse.
06 · Receiving your shipment
- Check the cartons before signing the delivery receipt and note visible damage on it; a clean signature makes a later claim harder.
- Report shortages, transit damage or dead-on-arrival units within the claim window in your order confirmation, with photographs.
- Store units dry and upright, away from frost, until they are sold or installed.
